How to get started with the new exactly.ai workflow

Our recent platform updates introduced more than just a fresh new interface. With a reimagined project-based workflow and powerful new creative tools, exactly.ai is now faster, easier and more intuitive to use than ever before.

In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to get started with the new workflow – from creating your first project to exporting artwork.

1. Start in your dashboard

Once you log in, you’ll land on your personal dashboard. This is where all your projects live. You can create a new project at any time, as well as rename or delete older ones.

Organising your work by client, concept or campaign makes it easier to keep track of everything in one place.

2. Choose your model(s)

When you're ready to start creating, open a project and click the plus icon next to the prompt input to access the model selection screen. From here, you can browse from our style library or pick from your own custom-trained models.

You can now select up to five models at once and view all generations side by side. This gives you more creative control and makes it easier to compare results.

3. Write your prompt naturally

Exactly.ai is designed to work with natural, conversational language. Just describe your vision as if you were explaining it to a teammate. No need for overly complex or technical instructions – the platform understands what you mean, even if you include a few typos.

4. Use an image prompt or Sketch Mode

Need a bit of extra guidance? You can upload a reference image instead of (or in addition to) a text prompt. This image will help guide the AI generation, providing visual context to your idea.

You can also use this to activate Sketch Mode. This feature transforms your image into a sketch outline, giving you more visual control over the final result.

5. Refine your results

Want to tweak your output without changing your prompt? Use the new Prompt Enhancement controls. You can adjust complexity, distance, lighting, mood and motion – helping you explore different directions with just a few clicks.

6. Edit and export your artwork

Once your generations are ready, click on any image to open the editor. From here, you can refine your artwork further or export it in the format you need. Our updated tools support 8K upscaling and vector file downloads, so you can go straight from concept to production.
