News: exactly.ai launches commercial licences for public models

Today marks a major milestone for exactly.ai: the launch of commercial licences. For the first time ever, subscribers can use images generated by public models for commercial projects – and the artists behind the models will be paid for it.

This game-changing roll-out marks the beginning of a collaborative experiment that puts creators in the driver’s seat. In this initial phase, only artists with existing public models can licence images, but any paying subscriber can tap into their creativity. We’ve set three key goals for this launch:

  1. Identify the models that are in highest demand.
  2. Understand how subscribers are using these assets.
  3. Determine the fair market value for images made with public models.

What’s in it for subscribers?

In this phase, commercial licences will be included in your subscription fee and limits. This means you can generate imagery within your tariff plans and all images made with public models can be used for commercial purposes.

  • Standard Plan: 250 generations per month
  • Pro Plan: Unlimited generations

Find out more about our pricing structure here.

The revenue from your subscription will go directly to the artists, split proportionally based on how often their models are used.

What’s next?

This is just the beginning. In our vision for the future, artists will set their own prices, control how their models are used, and be part of a marketplace built by and for creators. We’re already expanding our library of public models – if you want to take part, sign up here.

This first phase is critical, because it will shape the marketplace we’re building together, and your feedback and success is vital to this journey.
