Model marketplace launch at Café Moskau in Berlin
Sep 26, 2024On Tuesday 24th of September, exactly.ai held an exhibition at Café Moskau in Berlin in celebration of the launch of our new model marketplace.
After an open call that received over 350 submissions of AI models, all created from models trained on artists' own original work. The final selection of 30 pieces were hung on the street-facing ground-floor windows and throughout the second floor of the iconic Berlin venue. Café Moskau's vast floor-to-ceiling windows and elegant modernist architecture providing an ideal backdrop for the artworks.
We were privileged to receive so many fantastic submissions across the full spectrum of talent using exactly.ai. The selection process was challenging and we were inspired by the incredible variety of unique styles. Ultimately, we decided to feature those models which truly stood out to us, artists like: Vanessa Tesorone’s vibrant pop-art prints, Nicolas Tilly’s watercolours, and Jozef Michalski’s abstract, TV static-inspired digital art.
Exhibition details
Our exhibition formed part of Marketplace Conference 2024, an international gathering of over 500 marketplace entrepreneurs, investors and industry experts. Bringing together entrepreneurs, investors, and industry experts from around the world, the conference showcased the latest trends and innovations in the marketplace sector. With this year’s conference focussing on the increasing role of AI in online marketplaces it provided the perfect opportunity for us to connect with brands and help generate excitement for artists’ models.
At the conference, exactly.ai CEO Tonia Samsonova gave her own masterclass on the future of marketplaces in AI artwork. The session guided attendees through the legal, artistic, and ethical challenges surrounding current generative AI technology, and introduced exactly.ai’s alternative vision - one where the creator, data owner, and technologist are unified in a single individual. The masterclass concluded with participants generating their own assets for their brands using exactly.ai, followed by an engaging Q&A session that delved into the legal and technical aspects of exactly.ai’s business model.
Launching the model marketplace
The conference also made the perfect setting for the launch of the model marketplace - exactly.ai’s latest feature which allows artists to monetise AI models trained on their artwork by selling commercial licences for generated images, enabling them to increase their client base and set up a passive income stream. Brands, in turn, will have direct access to high quality, unique illustrations from the finest design talent with all the efficiency benefits of AI generation. Our clear and transparent copyright policies ensure both parties can rest assured that their rights are protected.
Attendees exploring the exhibition had the opportunity to use the displayed models and become the first users of this new feature, generating excitement and opportunities for future commissions. The marketplace is the newest chapter in exactly.ai's mission to make beautiful, bespoke illustrations accessible to everyone, while ensuring that creators retain their rights and are properly rewarded for their work.
Thank you
We would like to thank everyone who participated in the open call and congratulate those who were selected.
