Announcing the winner of the MMC ventures creative commission

exactly.ai partnered with MMC Ventures, a venture capital firm prioritising investments in innovative tech startups, to present an exciting opportunity for our community. The competition invited exactly.ai users to create an original AI model to generate illustrations for MMC's upcoming research report on ethical ai. The goal was to merge artistry with cutting-edge technology, celebrating the intersection of human creativity and technological advancement.

MMC ventures is dedicated to identifying the technologies shaping the future economy. To demonstrate their commitment to exactly.ai's mission of ensuring artists are fairly compensated when their work is used to train ai models, they offered a £1,000 fee for the winning artist. The competition is part of our creative commission series which provides an ongoing platform for brands to collaborate with exactly.ai's community of artists to create unique AI models for their projects in exchange for compensation.

The competition

The competition called for exactly.ai artists and illustrators to train an original model that will be used to illustrate MMC Ventures' report on ethical ai. The winning artwork will also be prominently featured at an in-person reception on November 26th, where stakeholders, founders, and investors will gather to celebrate the report's launch.

A jury of MMC ventures representatives selected the winner from over 160 participants and nearly 300 submissions. The winning entry was chosen based on its ability to convey the concept of ethical ai with depth, creativity, and a visual impact that resonated with the report’s themes. The decision was challenging, given the exceptional quality of the submissions.

The models created by the non-winning finalists will be published on the exactly.ai marketplace, providing opportunities for future use by brands and generating revenue for the artists.
