Role Overview

We’re looking for a Chief of Staff who can be the CEO's right-hand person. As such, you will experience firsthand what it means to run a seed-stage AI startup by attending most of the CEO's meetings. The core of this role is to take on many strategic and operational tasks so that the CEO can focus her time. These tasks include helping with finance, accounting, hiring, investor relations, partner relations, company planning and goal setting, project management, product, and more.

This is a very varied role for an individual happy to be broad but also very detail-oriented and deep regarding specific tasks.

Experience: Proven track record in a strategic role, preferably within a tech startup or a fast-paced technology environment. Strategic Thinker: Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable plans. Communicator: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships across all levels of the organisation. Problem Solver: A proactive problem solver with a track record of successfully managing complex projects and challenges. Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead by example, focusing on collaboration, resilience, and adaptability. Passion: Genuine enthusiasm for innovation, technology, and the startup ecosystem. Resilience: You should be good at handling ambiguity and tight deadlines. Startups are hard but very rewarding and fun!

Responsibilities

Support: Be the right-hand person to the CEO and support her with her schedule and planning Finance: Manage accounts & bill payments to suppliers, own the relationship with accountants and banks Legal: Review all legal documents, own employee and consultant contracts, interface with external counsel Recruitment & HR: Help with hiring and onboarding of new employees, continuously support with assessment compensation plans and share schemes Business Development: Negotiate terms and costs with partners and suppliers Project Management: Co-own strategic company planning and operational goal-tracking

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree Excellent spoken and written English Strong research skills Rudimentary knowledge of accounting

Compensation

The salary for this role is determined based on the market benchmark and the candidate's years of experience. The work arrangement for this role is hybrid, with 3 days in the office Candidates from different locations are considered for this role, even though the company's headquarters and office are in London. If you are not based in London, you can work remotely for this role The role offers 25 days of holiday in addition to bank holidays
